1. Basic Policy

MoaiStudio (the “Operator”) appropriately protects and manages your personal information in Daily Calendar | Hashibiro-san (the “Service”) and complies with applicable laws.

2. Information We Collect

  • Nickname: The nickname you choose when you start using the Service
  • Social sign-in information: Account information, such as identifiers, provided by Apple or Google when you sign in using an Apple ID or Google account
  • Profile information (optional): The following information, if you choose to enter it:
    • Gender
    • Year of birth and birthday
    • About you (free text)
  • Card messages and calendar data: Tarot cards drawn, AI messages, calendar records, and similar data
  • Journal photos (optional): Photos you select and save in your journal. Adding photos is optional; you can use the journal without them. For details, see “3-1. Handling of Journal Photos”.
  • Inquiry information: The email address and content you provide when contacting us
  • Usage history and device information: IP addresses, cookies, device identifiers, OS versions, logs, and similar information

3. Purposes of Use

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

  • To provide, maintain, protect, and improve the Service
  • To provide personalized AI card messages
  • To enable data synchronization and transfer through social sign-in
  • To respond to user inquiries
  • To detect and prevent violations of the Terms of Use
  • To provide Service announcements, updates, and other notifications
  • To create and use statistical data processed into a form that does not identify individuals

3-1. Handling of Journal Photos

You select photos yourself using the iOS or Android photo picker. The app does not access your entire photo library. Selected photos are resized and compressed on your device, and EXIF metadata such as capture location is removed before upload. The server stores the processed images; original photo files are not uploaded unchanged.

Journal photos are linked to your account and stored in private Supabase storage for display in your journal and calendar and synchronization between devices. Data is transferred over HTTPS, and only the user of the account that saved the photos can view them through the app. Photos attached to journal entries are not sent to generative AI services or used for advertising or tracking.

To speed up display and reduce data usage, some photos you save or view are temporarily cached in storage dedicated to the app. The cache has a size limit, with older items removed first. It is also cleared when you sign out or switch accounts.

You can remove photos in the journal editor and save your changes. After a photo is removed or replaced, or an entry is deleted, unused photos are no longer displayed and their server files are progressively deleted by scheduled processing. Failed deletions are retried, so completion may take time. Deleting your account also deletes stored photos. Removing a photo in the app does not delete the original from your device's photo library.

4. Data Sent to Generative AI Services

  1. The Service may use APIs from external generative AI providers, such as OpenAI, Google Gemini, and Anthropic, to generate card messages (AI text).
  2. Data sent to generative AI services may include optional profile information you provide, past message history, and text you enter, such as questions or notes.
  3. Before sending data, the Operator removes or anonymizes information that directly identifies individuals, such as email addresses, and makes every effort to use settings that prevent use for retraining generative AI models, such as access through APIs.

5. Disclosure to Third Parties

The Operator does not provide personal information to third parties without the user's consent, except in the following cases:

  • When required by law
  • When necessary to protect a person's life, health, or property and obtaining consent is difficult
  • When particularly necessary to improve public health or promote the healthy development of children
  • When necessary to cooperate with national or local government agencies, or their contractors, in performing duties prescribed by law

6. Outsourcing

The Operator may outsource all or part of the handling of personal information to the extent necessary to fulfill the purposes of use. In such cases, the Operator appropriately supervises the contractors.

7. External Data Transmission and Analytics Tools

The Service's website and app may use the following tools to improve the Service and understand usage:

  • Google Analytics / Firebase Analytics: For analyzing usage (managed in accordance with Google's privacy policy)

8. Security Measures

The Operator takes necessary and appropriate measures to prevent the leakage, loss, or damage of personal information and to ensure its secure management.

9. Disclosure, Correction, and Deletion

You can delete journal photos from the journal editor. To delete your account and stored data, use “Delete Account” in the app's settings.

Users may request disclosure, correction, addition, deletion, or suspension of use of their personal information. Please contact us through the inquiry form within the Service. After verifying your identity, we will respond promptly in accordance with the law.

10. Disclaimer

The Operator is not responsible when users themselves disclose personal information to third parties through the Service's sharing features, social media, or other means.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

The Operator may change this Privacy Policy as needed. The revised Privacy Policy takes effect when published on this website.
